Ginger & Tumeric Honey Bomb

Both ginger and tumeric help relieve pain, decrease nausea, and enhance immune function to help protect against the flu and common cold.

Ginger’s medicinal properties are mostly due to the presence of phenolic compounds, including gingerol, a chemical thought to possess anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.  Similar to ginger, turmeric contains similar compounds which has been shown to aid in treating and preventing several chronic conditions.

This powerful duo is the perfect combination to fight off any cold!

Ginger & Turmeric Honey Bomb
Makes 8 servings
Serving size = 1 tbsp

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2-4 tbsp freshly grated ginger or ground ginger
  • 2 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1 lemon, freshly grated zest
  • 2 pinches ground black pepper
  1. Combine all ingredients in a small mixing bowl.
  2. Taste and add more ginger or turmeric if needed. Aim for a really strong flavor, you’ll only add a few teaspoons to a cup of water. 
  3. Store the Ginger & Turmeric Honey Bomb in a glass container. 
  4. Boil 1 cup of water and let slightly cool
  5. Stir in a few teaspoons of the honey mixture and drink.

Tumeric Spiced Hot Cocoa
Makes 1 servings
Serving size = 1 cup

  • 1 ½  cup unsweetened dairy free milk (almond, soy, oat)
  • 1 T heaping cacao
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • ¼ tsp ginger
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp honey
  • dash of sea salt
  1. Heat milk stove top until it begins to bubble.
  2. Pour milk into high power blender and add cacao, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon and honey.
  3. Blend on high for 45 seconds – 1 minute.
  4. Add a sprinkle of sea salt and turmeric on top and enjoy!

Lemon Hibiscus Tea

Similar to the commonly known green tea, hibiscus tea is rich in antioxidants,  which work to prevent damage to our cells.   Healthy cells = a healthy body!  This ruby red herb is also rich in vitamin C, which helps to reduce cold symptoms and decrease recovery time.  Sometimes known as sour tea, hibiscus can be enjoyed both hot and cold.  You can find it in tea bags or make tea with dried hibiscus petals.

Lemon Hibiscus Tea
Makes 8 servings
Serving size = 1 cup

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 cups fresh hibiscus flowers or ½ cup dried hibiscus flowers
  • 1 tbsp dried basil
  • 1 lemon, freshly grated zest
  • 8 cups water
  1. If using fresh hibiscus flowers, remove base of flower, stem, and pistil of flower – leaving the petals only.
  2. Bring the hibiscus flowers and water to a boil in a large pot.
  3. Once the water starts boiling, remove from head and cover.
  4. Add basil and lemon zest. Let steep for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Mix in honey and lime juice until completely combined. 
  6. Strain tea and enjoy!

Immunity Booster Green Smoothie with Echinacea

Immunity Booster Green Smoothie with Echinacea
Makes 1 serving

  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • ½ cup fresh squeezed orange juice
  • 1 banana
  • 2 cups frozen strawberries
  • ½ cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup water

  • 10-15 drops liquid Echinacea
  1. Blend spinach, orange juice and water until smooth.
  2. Add remaining fruits and blend again.
  3. Enjoy!
